New stuff! It's going on now!

Sorry, I just thought I needed a snappy title to catch everyone's attention. However, it is true, in that new things have been happening in my life lately.

For instance, the reason I haven't blogged in a while is that I have an iffy internet connection (I either have to steal wireless or dial onto my parents' account...yeah, I'm cheap). The reason my internet connection is iffy is that I have a new apartment. It's exciting! I've been here since the 27th of December, but I only just got everything settled the way I like it. I just have to put up posters and the place will feel like home.

I also have a job. I applied to work through a temp agency downtown, so they currently have me sorting forms for the Colorado Department of Revenue (i.e. where everyone's state income tax and sales tax goes). It's boring in that it's a repetitive, fairly simple task. However, I find inspiration in the things I can learn from it: how our tax system works, the names of some small businesses throughout the state, how ugly government buildings are in the basement... anyway it's just for two weeks, so I think I'll be able to inspire myself through that short time. Afterwards, I hope the temp agency will have a new assignment for me and then it'll be onto something new and...exciting. It gets me by, and that's all I care about.

Things with Brent are going swimmingly. We each had a birthday recently, so there have been things to celebrate. Now that my apartment's all set up he comes to visit a lot. We watch videos (VHS only, until I get a DVD player), make food, and find other sources of random amusement that only two crazies like us could find enjoyable. Tonight we're going salsa dancing, so I'll have to be off now.
